Little Brown Sparrow

By Tryphena Louise Williams (c) 2010

Life is there for all to see
Each one’s vision, is their reality

The beauty of life, it does abound
Within all as seen, the Light and Sound

The birds and bees, the flowers and trees
Life it weaves, a majestic tapestry

One pauses to reflect, on nature as it is found
To see a baby sparrow, hopping on the ground

The baby sparrow it stopped, to look up at me
Its head was tilted, showing its curiosity

Then it started to scatter, leaf litter under a tree
Looking for bugs, it was not bothered by me

From time to time, it would look around
Chirping loudly, if danger was found

When I stood up, to go on my way
The bird took fright, and flew away

This is how, life is for me
God’s creation, its living symphony
