I opened my heart, to take a look
The words I felt, then trembled and shook
What is it that, flows through thee
That one feels, adrift upon the sea
The wind of change, whips up the waves
The heart refuses, to be enslaved
Emotions toss, and churn inside
There is no place, left for one to hide
What is it that, flows through thee
That at times, causes such misery
To ride the waves, as they are to be
To accept the changes, of one's reality
What is it life, what is it to be
Within one's heart, it aches for thee
Love is, such a mystery
Ones' not quite sure, so never is free
For love is blind, or so they say
We wait for an answer, to come our way
If no answer, can be heard
Within the silence, there is no word
The heart will know, what it must do
Surrender its love, it gave to you
Love as always, it will be
The heart it struggles, to be free
