Jack My Son's Dog

By Tryphena Louise Williams (c) 2010

My son’s dog Jack, came here today
Locked in my backyard, he started to play

While we worked, he ran around
Picking up a ball, that he had found

Jack is very, clever you see
He knew where, his ball would be

Jack's hair is long, and black and white
His eyes are brown, and very bright

Jack's tongue hangs out, as he plays
He loves to jump, then runs away

Jack he is, very well behaved
On command, he sits and stays

Then up he jumps, it's fun all day
It’s rough and tumble, the games we play

Jack brings his toys, back to you
Then waits for you, to throw a few

Jack never seems, to tire at all
He comes running, when his name is called

Then it comes time, for Jack to go
He waggles his tail, as if he knows

Into the cab, he does jump
He looks so happy, to ride up front
