A Winters Day

By Tryphena Louise Williams (c) 2010

A cold wind blew a driving rain, life's reflection of past pain

Winter chills filled the air, bringing with it moods of despair

The winter cold, with its months of slumber sleep

Rain it fell, creating muddy puddles deep

Darkened skies of thunderous form, fog lay thick from dusk to dawn

Shadows danced with mindless sway, hiding the light blocking its way

Soul it falters taking a fall, an abyss of emotions, that taunt and call

Dark night of Soul within the storm, without the light all lost and forlorn

Not one lesson or test is lost, surrender given, no coin to toss

Not to fear a darken mood, within the dark emotions brood

For light will come to show the way, its loving heart, holds all fear at bay

Each room a test if love can see, Soul is the light, its reality
