Lone Wolf

By Tryphena Louise Williams (c) 2010

In mountains high, a lone wolf stood
Proud and strong, he knew he could

Lone wolf he howled, with all his might
His calls within the golden, moonlit night

His howls they echoed, far and wide
Filling the valleys, so he could find

His longing filled, with such deep despair
His mate he longed, to lure her near

His howls were heard, each moonlit night
Mother Nature’s urge, he sought to right

Within the stillness of the valley. far below
His calls were heard, for his mate to follow

His howls of love, drew her ever near
To venture closer, if she would dare

Within the mountains, high above
A journey began, within their love

A bond had formed, so long ago
In mountains high, their love did flow

No greater love, could there be
Within their howls, now both were free

Both roamed the mountains, high above
Mother Nature's call, answered with love

I enjoyed this My friend the wolf has been a great teacher. Thanks for sharing this. I feel the a-lone-ness of the solitary search you have related.
