Summer Glory

By Tryphena Louise Williams (c) 2010

A gentle wind blew grasses sweet, with golden seeds ready to reap

Bees abuzzing all work no play, legs laden with pollen they flew away

Wild flowers dancing seductively, swaying, bending so gracefully

In meadows green a vision of colour, a tapestry woven like no other

Blending mixtures of light and sound, Mother Nature's glory the eye it found

Birds chirping in branches strong, a sound so sweet as life hums along

Clouds of softness, all puffy and grey, slowly drifting throughout the day

Sunlight bright, its golden glow, beyond the clouds, its light did flow

Water seeping, creeping along, a mumbling brook creates a song

Life was sweet in meadows green, such joy and wonder as one had seen
