The Wooden Door

By Tryphena Louise Williams (c) 2010

Love sat waiting, behind a closed wooden door

Seasons came to pass, its wind blew like never before

The heart it beat loud and clear, as it heard footsteps drawing near

The wooden door one held it tight, fear it raged as love took fright

Love it trembled before the sound, within its heart a cord was found

Light appeared through the cracks, the door gave way, love pulled back

The room ablaze with Light and Sound, love it wondered what it had found

All this time love had hidden away, too frighten to speak, unsure what to say

Love came knocking like never before, a wind of change tore down the door

Now at last love could see, such joy and laughter, that loving can be

The heart it grew within its love, it opened it wings to soar above

And so it was that love it bloomed, no longer locked in hidden rooms

Love is the answer, love is the key, no greater gift could there be
