White Wolf

By Tryphena L Williams (c) 2010

Beyond the shadows, of the night
White Wolf appeared, with the moonlight

White Wolf its wisdom, a gift to life
White Wolf its howls, were heard that night

Upon the water, its wisdom would shine
Within the moonlight, suspended in time

Such wisdom could not be read, with the eye
Within the water's ripples, all was denied

White Wolf its howls, not all could hear
Its howls would echo, in the chilly night air

From sacred worlds, known only to a few
White Wolf' its shadow, now came into view

White Wolf it turned, to walk away
No foot prints left, for one to say

From within the light, that it had come
White Wolf vanished, before the rising sun

Left to fade, within the dawning light
Few to know, what had occurred that night
