Footsteps

By Tryphena L Williams (c) 2010

No footsteps left, upon the sand
All memory erased, of life’s plan

Soul it entered, a human form
To know itself, it was reborn

Life as given, would be taken away
Soul it chose, how long to stay

Life it shared, its wisdom told
Soul its choice, was to unfold

With lessons learnt, a time had come
Old age it was, it had begun

As one had entered, so one it left
Soul's empty shell, was laid to rest

Soul was free, to choose again
Another life, with more to gain
