The Old Windmill

In the fields beyond the old windmill stood

Its useful age was seen in decaying wood
Alone in the pastures of the timeless reap
Its weather worn sails in a windless sleep

The sunshine cast a mellow lingering light
Shadows of dusks created a solitary sight
In the fields beyond the old windmill stood
Forgotten in time the mills decaying wood

This is truly wonderful! It so succinctly and elegantly expresses the longing of, and the nature of, Soul.
