Winds bend the tress with such force
Bringing with it a change to one's course
Leaves are torn from the unyielding branches
Mother Nature tests all of life’s advances
Total destruction if one holds on too tight
A strong wind howls throughout the night
The flowers are pretty for all to see
But the wind of time torn them from the tree
The petals fall scattered upon the ground
Beauty once held is no longer found
The tree is battered and stands forlorn
Sunshine and rain comes with the storm
Buds start to appear on the branches all worn
And beauty again will grace the new dawn
For life is balanced for all that bend
The breaking of spirit brings life to an end
Although the pain of loss is so strong
Life does not let it last for too long
With the dawn comes a new light
Gone is the pain the darkness of night
Life is as new life like a golden age
As love appears to turn a new page
