I am looking back on places I’ve been
So many memories of things I’ve seen
A few sad thoughts cross my mind
Life has not always felt so kind
Life at times gives me a shove
To teach more about how to love
Times of folly when I was young
All parties and songs we sung
Then I married and settled down
Happily I lived away from town
Two lovely children born to me
A blessing they turned out to be
Some old photos bring on a smile
Looking back it has been a while
The tears of grief my heavy heart
A sick husband my life fell apart
I can still remember all we shared
Our bond of love it showed we cared
I remember this month with a tear
To say to my husband I’m still here
Happy Birthday all my love to you
I know in my heart you love me too
